Dr. Patterson is VMAP recognized in the state of Virginia having completed a mini fellowship in mental health. She does frequent mental health evaluations and treatments for children for anxiety, depression and adhd. For new evaluations, a child does not have to be a patient of Dr Patterson’s and does not have a diagnosis at this point. This is a workup for ADHD, anxiety or depression and at times can find other diagnoses as possibilities. May take multiple sessions and several different questionnaires online or in paper form. Forms may be for parents, teachers or child. Followup at the end for wrap up and parents may choose to continue treatment with Dr Patterson if treatment is an option. $300 one time fee.

Medical treatment is common for mental health issues and finding the right person to manage this is necessary. Dr Patterson has years of experience in treating ADHD, anxiety and depression. Often she treats in conjugation with a therapist on board. If a child is not a full time patient of Magnolia Pediatrics but parents wish to have the child’s ADHD/anxiety/depression treated by Dr. Patterson, parents can choose this option. Visits are every 3 months unless medication needs to be changed. Telemedicine is an option every other visit.
